No more bags precariously hanging off of handlebars. I use 550 para-cord, which has a working load of 250 lbs.
The saddlebags themselves are very well constructed and latch onto the bike itself quite well. No saltwater rot there!
The stitching on high-stress areas is low quality. Only one thread holding it & itcertainly was button thread, not heavy threading. Cargo clips that are riveted into bag are too small to snap into rear rack.
The versacages are a great solution for forks without bottle mounts. Perfect for bikepacking, growlers, bigger bottles and whatnot. The straps are a little iffy but that’s the only drawback. A firm tighten with an allen wrench is all that it needs.
The straps are either too low or too high to really secure something like a dry bag. This means it becomes very hard to align all of the * at once. You'll have an unnatural fold around the back of the cage instead of the strap sitting flat.
