It works well even when cloudy. Works great in direct sunlight, but also works when the sun is not shinning. The battery lasts me from 2 - 3 hours at night, pending on how much sun it got that day.

Easy to assemble and set up. Works great in my bird bath. I wish the fountain had a smaller spout so i could enjoy the sound of the water and keep it in there. After it was cleaned it worked perfectly again.
