The heel is chunky enough to make walking easy. The chunky heel makes that bearable to wear for long amount of time. The ankle strap to hold them securely in place.

These shoes are perfect! The material is a kind of suede or nubuck they are not a glossy/ shiny finish, which i love because they don't show the tiny little scuffs shoes will inevitably pick up. That being said, these are a great bang for your buck.
