They have no bearings from what i can see in the 2 busted wheels. I have a lot of polyurethane wheels carts, and while the locking mechanism is cool on these wheels, the wheels themselves provide a rough ride.

Big wheels are nice, these roll and pivot well. They move very smoothly. Dual locking feature added bonus.
