The cover lifter is a good product. It has aluminum parts and stainless steel nuts and bolts. Have some gloves handy of you do. Mounted directly to the deck.
It allows me to sit comfortably with out my chin being in the water. I'm 5'2 and this seat made for a very enjoyable soak. I wish it had grip on both sides.
