Two layers of non-woven fabrics are added inside to improve warmth. Gets very comfortably warm even at the lowest setting. Cold water isn't as bad if your bathroom is already nice and toasty. Plus, it's big enough to share the warmth!
It can also be used as a normal blanket by detaching the controller. This heating blanket is phenomenal.

Lasted 3 mos then flashed red only, unable to fix. This has a 2 hour timer, not a 4 hour timer as listed. Shuts off on its own after 10 minutes.
There are two sizes so the price ranges from $20 to $24. Wool does have some downsides and this blanket is no different. For the price, i am very satisfied.
After a wash and line dry it's fleecy and soft, has the itch you'd expect from wool. Run it through the drain cycle again to help get some of the moisture out. First thing i want to address is the odor some have complained about.
Wanting to conserve energy and finances on electric. My girls are always cold and usually have a bunch of fleece blankets, but we traded them all for a sheet, wool blanket and down comforter. Nothing is warmer and more durable.
It smells like a tire, even after washing it twice. Nearly broke washing machine. If this ruins my washer and dryer, i'm going to sue them.
The smell of oil also lingers. Smells like petrochemicals and hasn't gotten better. The oder is petroleum smelling.
This one is fluffier and uses very short fibers that become unraveled readily. It sheds a lot. The stitching around the edge was coming undone in several places.
