This product lifts the hair but isn't damaging to the material. I have 4 house cats and have to vacuum beddings and everywhere they sit or sleep just to maintain some kind of order regarding pet shedding. With 3 dogs this is a must have.

For removing lint, it is far too rough and uneven. Also shreds an area rug. Ruined some fabrics. It destroys fabric and other surfaces.
