The rubber one is the only one anchored in the handle. The metal hose is just a sleeve. After only about a month and a half of use it is now leaking very slowly, there is a tiny puddle under my toilet. Water drips out of the spray nozzle.

There is a fastener that allows you to adjust the depth of the bidet. Even my son who doesn't like flushes likes it. Also had to run to home depot for an extra toilet hose.
