The clamp opens wide so it can be used on a thick sturdy shelf or a countertop. Can clamp on table top or comes with a stand. The stand feature is neat because you can move it to places that you can't with a bigger tripod.

Lamp arms are poseable so you can position then as needed. Metal flex tube and stays in position very well. Easy to move and maneuver to the height and angle you need.

I love this grow lamp. It provides them with exactly what they need. I also like the “neighbor gonna call the cops on me’ * too. Na na na.

My only qualm is with the timer. Timer is a bit wonky.

Not a single one operates the timer on a 24 hr cycle. That alone makes the timer obsolete. The timer suddenly, and inexplicably stopped working.
