They are of lower intensity and the more of them you have, the brighter they get. I believe they were largely meant to be decorative and ultimately to supplement lighting that came from separate decorative wall sconces.

The lights work but they do not stand up straight in the base some wobble and fall sideways. I have problems with the lights intermittently blinking, even when not dimmed. No flicker w/ filament bulbs.

It has many changing color options, single colors, and a dimming feature. It fits in a regular light socket.
