Pros and Cons
Pros5

Great uncompressed natural sounding and bright vocals. It is sensitive and captures the timbre beautifully. However, the perception 120 still crushes it in the studio.

It comes with a very sturdy shock mount, heavy and solid. It also comes with an adapter for both size mic booms & an awesome case.

This mic does it. Even in a room that by most standards should be an acoustic disaster, this mic comes through clean and clear and discards most of the room that other mics pick up.

Akg p220 is very versatile, especially when using mic modulators. I barely have to touch the eq, if at all, this saves me time while mixing down a track. In this location the slightly exaggerated high frequency response helps bring out the stick attac...  Read More

The p220 works very well for baritone ranged singers. The sound quality is fantastic and it really picks up the nuance in dynamic vocal performances. It is completely on par in quality and tone to the rode nt1-a.

Pros4

It's a good microphone that delivers a great sound and it's versatile. Even without the dm1, it sounds great. The audio sound quality is amazing. Looking for a matching pop filter like the heil pr40 unit for this.

Shure's usb mic is a great alternative to the sm7b. It also doubles as a great mic for zoom calls. You can also use it as a condensor mic, but unless you're a pro podcaster, i'm sure you'll be fine.

Included app makes tuning a breeze. It seems though, that the nicer to nicest hardware makers also have the most craptastic software. I do my settings through obs (streaming software) and it's cherry.

The built-in headphone jack allows for zero-latency monitoring. It’s easy to use (usb plug and play), though i wish it natively was usb-c. A headphone jack for monitoring is integrated right into the microphone as well.

Cons2

Not compatible with ipad pro (usb-c). The mic is smaller than it looks in the photos. Huge huge problem with that is that it uses micro usb for the connection.

Do not recommend this product and seller to anyone. The return/exchange process is a nightmare. This is a slimmed down sm7b that they see everyone using for $250.
