The actual chess board doubles as a carrying case with molds to hold the pieces. Peices have a good weight to them. Also the peices are durable incase dropping occurs.

The only thing i would miss in this set is a second queen for promotions. For the price, and for a portable folding board, this is gorgeous! Sturdy but lightweight, easy to travel with.

The board itself is smaller than we expected, pieces are very durable and beautifully crafted. They fit snugly in the board for storage. Wish it was a tad bigger though.

The board is well constructed, and only had one significant scratch on the playing surface. It didn't affect my satisfaction. No scratches or flaws.

There aren’t many games that are really enjoyable for 2 people- this game is an exception! We have an enormous board game collection but this one really stands out in the best way. Entire family loves the game.

The addictive nature of this game is undeniable. Very fun and addictive. This one is really big and complicated, but so much enjoyable.

This version has ships and trains. Longest train or # of ticket cards bonus in europe. That uses more pieces and has a look of the game risk and catan seafarers.

I was disappointed with the quality of the board. Pawing through multiple stacks of cards didn't make for an enjoyable experience. This version adds difficulty without making it more interesting.
