Canson durability as expected! That's what i've used in the past. Will definitely buy again.
Even the lightest erasing on the paper damages the surface. The texture of the paper is like construction paper. The paper feels too slick on either side. It definitely seems like it was replaced with cheep paper.
It is at once too absorbent and not absorbent enough. This leads to uneven drying that can look splotchy or streaky. It also absorbs unevenly, creating a grainy, blotchy result.
For serious watercolor or gouache pieces i suggest spending a little extra on something that's 100% cotton like arches or bee paper. Strathmore is a more suitable alternative for working out ideas or practicing brush strokes.
