The center is bowed upward til you put a plate on it, then it smooshes flat. The plastic is thin and cheap— and the odor is strong! Each tray wrapped in cellophane then the whole group in more cellophanes.
One caveat is that the lid is very heavy; much more so than our other one that broke. Alas, it’s a heavier glass which overwhelms my more delicate cake plate. Arrived in one piece. Nicely packaged to avoid any breakage.
The stand's support is barely glued on and not even centered. There is a crack in the base that looked as if someone had tried to fix it with putty. There was a large gap where the wood was joined and it had been filled with glue.
I am very saddened to be delivered shattered glass. I prefer a heavier glass that won't be so prone to breakage. These dishes are extremely heavy.
What did this art piece do to deserve this maltreatment.
