These are brighter than a 60 watt as advertised, but don't seem as bright as an incandescent 100 watt. Uses the same energy as the 60w equivalent florescent bulbs - 13w.
The bulbs can not be used in enclosed fixtures. There is no color tone guide on the box either, most brands have the color gradient printed clearly on their boxes. They claim it will last 15,000 hours.
Led bulbs are brighter, warmer (2700k) light and use just 9 watts. These are truly plug and play, no rewiring.
The product is pricey but saves me a lot of trouble retrofitting my current fixture. It's a little pricey but worth it for the end results. Excellent update to improve on a traditional iridescent.
Big bummer. Something is definitely defective with the one i received. Contacted seller - despite listing as free returns - seller refuses to pay return shipping.
