On my 2nd visit while talking to the church members, I realized this church's philosophy is once saved always saved and defend it passionately. Unfortunately, that doctrine is not biblical. When Jesus walked this earth, He taught that not only murder is a sin but even anger in your heart is. He made the law even stricter. Why not just teach how salvation is gained since that is the bottom line? Bible verses shouldn't be taken out of context. Yes we are saved by our faith but not by faith alone. Let's look at Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast." What this verse means is that if you don't have faith in Christ, but you do good works, you are still not saved. He's emphasizing that faith is foremost. This explains why a good Buddhist will not inherit His kingdom. How do we know this is what is meant? BECAUSE OF ALL THE OTHER VERSES IN THE BIBLE THAT TALKS ABOUT WHAT WE SHOULD DO OR BE - the works part of it. A member said that there are 600 laws in the Bible and that there is no way anyone can keep them all. In 2016, California passed 900 new laws. If man expects me to abide by thousands of laws, I can abide by God's 600. At least I can try hard daily. Just because the idea of how hard it would be to keep all the laws daily IS NOT a reason to say.. well God/Jesus might not have meant that literally. Don't be deceived. Our enemy is cunning. He knows the most believable lies are the ones that have 90% truth to them. He uses the word of God. The devil and his demons are very active. They were in Jesus's day and they are still today. They constantly whisper new doctrines. Once you realize that there is a literal demon attached to every sin, you will want to stop sinning. How do I know this? Literature AND real life experience. You must cast them out with deliverance prayer in order to be free of that desire. If Jesus cast out the demon that cause the man to be mute, you best believe that when you're watching porn, there's a demon meeting his quota for the day. Cast it out! Don't just sit there and throw up your hands and say oh well, it's human nature-I'm saved anyways. If you look at the unseen, you would be mortified of what is clinging onto your sin. Jesus died on the cross to give you a fighting chance, so fight. His grace doesn't cover a willful sinner. And if this rant doesn't change your mind, do this -go on YouTube and type in "near death experience hell." Watch 20. It's grotesque but its informative. it's all the same despite the demographics of the experiencer. Watch a hundred.. it's still all the same. It's biblical down to the T. (Lukewarm) Christians who do not keep the Lord's commandments are tormented in hell along with unbelievers. When God said the road to heaven is narrow, He meant it for everyone. He is not an angry God. He doesn't send us to hell. He weeps when we send ourselves to hell through our free will. Judas was saved. He then betrayed Jesus. Where do you think he is? It is hard work to live a Christian life. The Truth is always bittersweet. Listen, if I'm wrong - we are all going to heaven! You, me, and Judas will be living it up in heaven. But what if I'm right? What if all those hell testimonies/warnings are all right? I pray for us all. Matthew 7:21-23Not everyone who says to me "Lord, Lord" will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name? And then will I declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness."- Quyen Read Less
