We've used these folks twice and we were pleased each time.  We also appreciate the mission of the Delancey Street Foundation.  I know that some people might think twice about engaging a company that provides vocational rehabilitation to former criminals and drug users, but we support the efforts to help these folks re-establish themselves.Service was excellent from beginning to end on both occasions that we hired them.  When we called to schedule our appointments, they were courteous and helpful.  On the day of our moves, the team showed up on time, and the crew chief patiently went through the process.  After that, it was a picture of efficiency as they hauled out our furniture and boxes.  They were careful not to damage any of our items and also made sure not to bang into the walls as they eased some of the larger items into the house.  Everything went smoothly each time, and work was finished faster than expected.  Perhaps the only quibble we had, on the second move, is that when the crew chief went over our furniture before the move to assess preexisting condition, he marked all of them as being in "poor" condition, which really wasn't the case.  In the end it didn't matter as none of our belongings were damaged.After the moves were completed, we settled the bill for the agreed price - no unexpected charges.  The cost of the service is highly competitive with other movers in the area.  We have friends who have suffered from bait-and-switch practices from some of the less reputable local moving companies - even one whose possessions were literally held hostage by the movers until they agreed to an significantly higher charge.  We experienced no such behavior from Delancey.This is an excellent moving company with a noble mission.  We would definitely use them again should the need arise.  Read Less
