I'll preface this by saying I've lived in apartments my whole life from various states. I'll never own for the freedom to take employment elsewhere. This is the first apartment that noise has been an issue. Being single, I take comfort of ambient noise. I have my own dogs and realize apartments will NEVER be quiet nor do I expect them to. But this is another level of cheap paper thin walls. Pros: Aesthetically pleasingAmenities EventsProtected parking and security of building-no gate codes this is the main reason I gave it 2 stars not 1. Every community has amenities and events so this is not special to them those don't really count to me but they are nice Cons: Response to complaints about neighbor's dog barking for HOURS at a time. Not a bark here or there in response to outside noise (my dogs will bark if they hear the door or contractors back and forth and I leave my tv on during the day -yes all day. running up my electric so I can be considerate that I have dogs and due to the construction my one dog may bark while I am at work-I know my pets, so I accommodate. This poor dog has barked on average for at least 47 min-longest 1:37 min and shortest 34 minutes. This person (I wouldn't live near the 3rd floor corner facing the bocce ball courtyard --below, or next door. This is supposedly a service animal yet is left all day clearly not working and the resident is getting away with free pet rent I'm sure milking the system for her what is probably a companion animal, not SERVICE dog. I have several dates and videos I have emailed that apparently are not good enough for management-there is a "law" for third party verification. First do you know how hard it is to catch something like that by calling security who is offsite and timing and waiting for them to get here? We all pay astronomical rates here and now I'm the pest because I complain? I'm treated like I'm a bother-like they can't wait for my lease to run out. I guarantee and will update at the end of my lease, they will gouge my renewal so I have no choice to leave and play it off like it's the 'market rate for that time' Options given were that I could move for free. Really? Why am I supposed to be put out moving a second time in their building yes I said second, because another person is rude and they refuse to address it? All I get is "I walked by and I didn't hear it". Well I live here -so a walk by or a 30 min tour to a nearby apartment -no you likely won't hear it. Oh and the dog bangs in whatever cage they have it in which then knocks on my ceiling. Had I not moved across country only 4 months ago, sat in an apartment for 2 weeks among packed boxes because my unit wasn't complete like they thought it would be (I won't complain about that because it's a new place but it was very inconvenient after driving for 5 days), maybe I'd consider moving again -but why should it be me? I won't get into the shotty electrical work that I had to take off work for-fan in bathroom still runs nonstop even after they supposedly fixed it. That's prob on me but at this point because of all of the dog problems I don't want to ask for anything else-it's awkward and I definitely feel like the oddball our. So-research shows that in Milpitas there is a noise ordinance that they are in violation of and I have an option to seek counsel with a renter's rights attorney. So basically, should I choose to pursue this (not realistic because this is a corporation) I'm out more money. And who wants to take a landlord on while you're living there? I keep seeing all of these posireviews -well wait til you get in here. I have no rights and pay rent -I've never experienced anything like this in my life. I often find renters who complain on yelp annoying because I look for big problems when searching -bugs, crime. Some people complain about stupid stuff you can't control in an apartment living situation. I promise this is not that. Advice. ask about neighbors if they can tell you about kids pets etc. And I would not rent anywhere near this apartment. Read Less
