Brooktree Elementary is a hidden gem!  I am so thankful that this is our neighborhood school. We moved our 4th and 5th graders to Brooktree from a local private school due to my older son having ADHD and struggling academically. It was absolutely the best choice we could have made. Both of my sons have excellent teachers, and my son with ADHD has gotten amazing support from the resource specialist. The office staff is friendly and efficient. I'm also very impressed with the school's emphasis on safety. Academics are challenging but my kids are never stressed, and the homework load seems to be just right. All of the kids and parents I have met are friendly and engaged, and helped us to feel welcome right away. I can't say enough about this school--it's awesome!  Read Less

ugh.. this all happened in P.E. sure. WUTS SO BAD ABOUT P.E? nothing. P.E is fun, but it's like some SPECIAL KIDS ARE RUINING MY FUN. They got me sick for 2 weeks. Looks like I have headaches.. well, there's more. I feel like throwing up and I'm BURNING. How did you get sick? it's just obvious. Coughing. Wow I never spelled that in a long time. So this is my third time. The first time I got sick for 2 weeks. The second time nothing happened. And you know what happened the third time. it's like the people that are watching them don't care. FEBUARY AND MARCH SUCKS! when a wooden box with supplies fell on me, the teacher didn't even care. I think he wasn't in the classroom but still. What did he think was gonna happen? It was during a read in or something. 2 things fell on me. There were pencils, color pencils, paper, sticky notes, and something else. there was only one person who helped me clean it up. The boys didn't help and the girls that were in the middle of the fort didn't help at all. I only find parent reviews. A GRRREEEEEAAATTT school but not really that caring. Hopefully the principal sees this. she's prob not but at least u guys see this.  Read Less

This elementary school I have to say, is one of the top best schools in San Jose on my list. I went here for third grade and now my little sister and brother are currently attending here as well. Thinking back when I went to school here and coming to my siblings' open house, I can tell that they still care soo much for the children here. They have a lot of extra  curricular activities for the kids if they need help on certain subjects in school. What makes this school even better is that they have monthly meetings with parents (optional) if they have any questions or suggestions on the teaching material, or if anyone has any input on anything about the school. With parents, guardians, and teachers being so involved with the school and their children, I believe that's the reason why this school has such a positive reputation.  Read Less
