This is a parisian establishment, but if you smile and are friendly, you will be treated the same. One of the best meal in paris.
For the price, au bougnat is a terrific value. If you're looking for a quiet place, away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place.
Au bougnat is a favorite bistro on lle de la cite just a short walk from notre dame cathedral. Great stop on the way to the marais for dinner. Near tourist attractions(notre dame) come support them while notre * is closed.
We were escorted through a narrow short hallway in to the dining area. This restaurant is a hidden gem in plain sight. They also use a dumb waiter to deliver food from the kitchen.
Cons
There is a baseline of goodness that fails at greatness with the flavor profiles it reaches. Warm with no fresh air makes the place uncomfortable. Another very bland and unexceptional meal.
