I didn't confirm this private transportation, so I was sure that the hotel sent the driver as a gesture. While arriving to the hotel (5 minutes driving) I paid 5 euro to the driver, the driver followed me to the reception and ask for 50 euro. The lady in the reception told me that they sent the driver and she insisted that I confirmed it. When she found out that it her mistake she did not apologize and of course I didn't get any refund for the 50 euro payment. \nI have also booked for late checkout in advance for extra 40 euro. While checking in she told me that it is not possible (they didn't give me any advanced notice)\nDuring the stay we had more service problem (it was a very short stay)\nI talked with a few \"managers\" and they promised to write a response to my complains. The unfriendly and unhelpful staff I encountered on my very short stay ensured I got the full experience. With my room I was suppose to receive access to a lounge. When I went in search of this lounge and could not find it, I went to the front desk to ask for a more specific location then the “8th floor. The front desk assistant stated “I can not be more specific” Thinking wow that was rude, I went back up to search again only to find my colleague searching who also could not find the lounge. She gave up and I went back to the front desk. I told her we both could not find it and she replied “It is on the 8th floor, I can not be more specific, it is there.” I said can you tell me if you go right or left from the elevator? Or have someone come show me? She said “No. It is very simple and we don’t have enough people to show you.” She then went to the back room, came back out and said “It is closed today” I asked until when? It's also only a 2-minute walk from the hotel front door to the RER station to catch the B train to the middle of Paris. The train ride cost 11 Euros and took 25 minutes, and then I was walking distance (or a short Metro ride) to everything.\n\nI've been traveling internationally so much this past year, and this is the first good night's sleep I've had. This hotel provides the perfect jet lag hack: if you get in by early afternoon, take the train to Paris and walk around, getting at least two hours of sunshine. However, Pullman is not my favorite Accor hotel. This one is beautiful and the rooms are spotless. Really modern, clean and new. The staff is professionnal and friendly. The check in is efficient but it is not your classic reception. I was totally confused at first as they have these tables in the middle of the lobby. At least they saw my confusion and came to get me. \n\nIn order to get to your room you have to pass by the bar area which is fany and nice but especially later in the evening, the music is fairly loud. On top of that, it is music that suits a younger generation and especially the person in charge of it. It makes you feel like you do not belong if you are not one of these hip young and good looking people. Everytime I passed by you get a lot of funny looks and I find that a bit annoying at some stage. The bar is definitely not placed in the right location. \n\nThe meeting rooms are nice but nothing special. \n\nThe biggest downside is the price of room service. It is way too expensive. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, many in the CDG airport area. None has ever been as expensive for room service. Provided the quality of food I wonder who made the calculations.
