a bedroom with nowhere to sit no table or chairs The balcony was small and was overlooked by swimming pool and cafebar Good things were the friendly and helpful staff Also the views from the top were amazing and it was lovely to sit out on the terrace for breakfast and stare out into the sea and hills Now bad things the steps down to our room no 250 were too much every day I have arthritis in my knees so not good to climb up 65 steps every day to reception or for oir breakfast There is only one small lift which starts on the next level Watch out when you get in or out as the doors close too quickly The room had 2 showers one of which had a shorter screen therefore water goes over the top and floods the floor The 1st morning when we were still very tired my husband got in this one I went to the toilet in the same room and slipped in the stupid little slippers they leave for you and went over the very steeep stepabout 9 inches deep banged my back and elbow and fell onto the floor in agony My husband had to help me up and I suffered a badly bruised back for the remainder of the holiday The step is far too deep and shower dangerous I told reception and they said they would send someone to mop up the water with no concern for my injury really The swimming pool is not as good as it looks as it is only waist high all across the pool so you cant have a good swim really as your feet catch on the bottom We used another pool at the Atrium Palace further down the road The entertainment was boring and old fashioned We had plinky plonky music ALL the time for a start in the reception and bar area It was constant and annoying In the evenings there was a saxophonist an opera singer which again was not for us The opera was depressing and some other people agreed The Greek night was non existent they didnt turn up We were looking forward to that too We were offered no compensation for this and still had to pay our bill at the end of the holiday The chairs and sofas in the reception area are scratched terribly and need replacing The hotel itself is too far from any other tavernas restaurants or shops You have to either get the shuttle bus into Lindos or walk down the road and get the bus to other places Taxis cost about 14 euros to go into Lindos so it isnt cheap if you want to eat out The manager sent a nottle of red wine twice to our room with a note saying hope you are enjoying your holiday My husband doesnt drink Red wine and I dont drink alcohol so we gave it away We received a fruit plate the 2nd time too and that was nice We had a good holiday hotel before but I realise now what Ive been missing We all love children but the quality of experience without them is significantly improved nnYoull pick up all you need from other reviews about location proximity to Lindos etc I didnt travel a great deal as Id visited before but I did go into Lindos which is lovely So writing for those who maybe travelling alone as I did Expect TUI to be good but the experience on arrival in Rhodes is a bit chaotic The trip to the hotel via bus is about 45 minutes but if you arrive late like i did then they do provide a sandwich which is nice and the bar is open The room I had was particularly good with sea views The quality of the room generally was much better than Ive had in similar hotels and expect the extra touches like robes and a coffee machine in the room The aircon was sophisticated and not noisy for a change No deposit required for pool towels and you get to change them every 2 days so dont bother packing onennThe TUI rep Stuart was great and although I didnt intend to go far he did give me a few tips and it was good to know you had somewhere there but the reception staff were great nnTheres no lunch served at the hotel I
