Jamstik is small enough to fit in a normal backpack. It is more portable than the artiphon 1 or other similar devices. It fits easily into my carry-on.

The jamstik+ is a portable guitar that can be put in a backpack or roller-on luggage. It connects via usb to an ipad or an iphone via an app. The app is a good way to get familiar with the hardware and see how it interacts with the software.

It is hard to take a bulky guitar everywhere you go. The * and action is nearly identical to an acoustic guitar. The chords blend well and everything you learn is 100% applicable to a real guitar.

It is more or less a beginner’s guided tour to learning to play the guitar. It is fine for open chords and a basic starter guitar idea.

Cons

Midi device has tinny, artificial sound that does not lend itself well to actual music generation. Jamstik+ app shows chords, but not how to actually play them. Free trial app to learn actual songs, which are useless unless you know the basic chords.

The sound is just not the same as a real guitar. Buy this as a toy or maybe to learn guitar but not for composing music.

Ill be traveling the next two weeks and the jamstik will be in the bag excited to see what i can get down as tracks while on the road
