The wwii black crinkle remake is of a time when all of the world had to depend on the allies winning the war for all to be free. Love the 1941 reissue. Currently he uses whatever is handy to light the chimney.
It has the best look, feel in the hand and great “clink” love it. If you want to hear a louder ting when you open it, and a louder click, this zippo fits the bill. It's rounded off enough to be comfortable and easy to use.
Finish is very shiny for a brushed chrome model. Closer to polished chrome than street chrome.
Cons
"aesthetically it looks great on the outside (after finally removing all of the adhesive residue left by the large sticker on the back) it's defective with another part.
The internal lighter portion appears to be quite used. I feel since it's sold and distributed by amazon that they would be able to take care and refund fake and defective products they sell. I have two other zippos that are solid as a rock but this on... Read More
One came without white outer box, both have scratches and fingerprints. Its surface is full of yellowed fingerprints. The metal feels like sandpaper against skin. A few places have very pronounced vertical gouges.

Regular modern zippos seem kind of small for me and are a little more cumbersome to use

If you dont want your brass to get a patina especially if its a brushed brass zippo i would get some kind of clear coat on it
