I use this with a dell xps circa 2011 configured i7 quad processor nvidia gt graphics and a hybrid drive the processors keep below 65c during load and the hd remains at very cool 40c most of the time at idle the processors hover around 45c50c

I run the zalman at the lower speed setting as it is adequate there and the highest speed is audible enough to be a bother to me however not as loud as the xps fan under full loading

On full power you can hear it but any true gamer uses a headset so you will not notice anything
