I bought two of these and receive them on september 22nd one of them would not charge with its original cord now it is december 1st and the other one stop taking charge

My husband suggested setting my screen timer to the highest alloted time 10 minutes but that kind of defeats the point of charging my phone if my battery will be drained by the screen light
