I have a nexus 4 and so far the wireless charger is working fine with no problem

Peak current ive seen pulled through this device has been 800ma and if you factor a 50 loss for inductive charging which in my calculations so far seems pretty close your transfer phone charging current is in the 400ma range

With a case on your phone this unit may charge so slowly its not sustainable or just not charge at all
