The book is well researched and well written. They book just like help solidify a lot of thoughts and feelings. I am a very socially conscience feminist women's and gender studies student.

It skips around so much that i can't imagine it holds much value for anyone. There is no in-depth exploration of alternatives. That feels lazy.

The anecdotes are frequently taken from anonymous or pseudonymous comments on internet forums. It rehashes old debates without moving them forward.

There is no thesis, and the author is too timid to answer the question posed by the title of the book.
