You dont need to format the sd card unless you want to clear the card of other stuff

To use it however you must switch off any vpn on your phone

Select preview you will get a live feed from the camera and the camera will be recording press the record button to stop recording

Go back to the front page and select settings at the bottom of the screen

Now when you playback on a pc the datetime code will be correct
