Pros & Cons
Pros
Driver set still works great, though many of the bits have been replaced due to wear and tear. The pliers are very strong and tight and a good compromise on length/width. The only thing that ever slowed it down is when i lent it to someone for a momen... Read More
Got one as a graduation gift in 2003. No matter what the price tag says for this thing, it's surely worth it.
Leatherman wave is bigger and heavier than a leatherman rebar. The release is easier to use than the leatherman rebar. It is a bit heavier than leatherman tools but that is because of its very high quality stainless and rugged construction.
Having used the swisstool for a while, the serrated blade is great for breaking down boxes. Sharper and easier to use than a smooth blade. I use the saw all the time when camping/hiking.
Needless to say, the construction is supurb and holds up to about any task. It's been covered in glue, oil, paint and more and still works smoothly. If i ever lost it i wouldn't hesitate in buying a new one.
Cons
It is the first time that i`m disapointed about any amazon product. It is poorly engineered.

My wife has tried buying me leathermans and such but they are junk or not convenient like this one
Price
Though at the cost of size and weight this is a very nice multitool
It only cost me about 60 a few years ago but i always look at it as own of my most valuable possessions
The pouch is a letdown for the price
The price is a little spendy but trust me you wont even give it a second thought after you use this tool for a month
Competitiveness
Better than the one i lost which was the same brand and similar model
The perfect way for me to describe and compare this tool to the spirit is this is the heavy duty version of the two
The leatherman wave and rebar pliers open a few centimeters more about maybe half an inch than the swisstool
The swisstool can opener is far better and easier to use than the leatherman and so is the bottle opener
