Pros
They are a transparent coloring so you can use them to add color accents. Looks much nicer than cold bluing solutions.
The main thing i recommend having before starting this kind of process is patience. Lays on super smooth. Drys fast. Seal with clear coat.
All work extremely well and are very durable. Painted the fuel rail in my 2012 golf. Bike. Completed a mini bike paint job with it.
Cons
The tint is lemon yellow with a green tint to it that looks off. It crackles if you spray it on in the time frame the instructions give. With a dusting it looks a little like its anodized.
Every penny i spent on metalcast was wasted. This stuff is junk at $3. Do not buy.

The surface has to be cleaned properly

I would sand any surface with a very light sand grit

And then clean with alcohol and wash and then clean it again with alcohol and then let it dry so that it is super dry to the touch but you cannot touch the surface after cleaning
