Used it today at the range. If your scope or camcorder has the detent for this, it makes sure your scope/camcorder is always aligned.

Price and build quality are great. Solidly built, all fittings are sturdy and tight. The adjustment of the legs is excellent. And lastly, thankfully, this is a short and old-school tripod.

The tripod is poorly made. It is a shame because the base is great. Don't waste your time on this one.

Primarily injection molded plastic. The whole thing feels very cheap and flimsy. The legs didn't tighten well, parts aren't very precision, etc.
