Initially i thought it needed a carrying case but the carabineer type hook allows it to be clipped on to pants waist belt loop and since it weighs only a little more than a pound it is virtually unnoticable

A stability tool that doesnt get in the way or make you feel that it is almost too much trouble to move and reset up as one often does when using a tripod in the field
