It's been happily doing its thing for about a month now with no issues. After a week of solid use, no hiccups at all. A good source of pigtails are local thrift shops like goodwill.

Cons

The smaller (2. Mm) outer diameter certainly isn't 5. Do not use on any grounded equipment like a cable modem. Continuously kept dropping the connections on a long run within the perimeters of the specs.

    Put this on the ups for constant power and ran the camera cable and switch cable through this device install took seconds and i was back online and monitoring with the piece of mind that my switch would no longer have to supply power to the camera
