Pros
It's very well made and very durable. Will snap your finger off. Sometime that's messy, sometimes it's not. But it's nice to know, especially if you've been popped.

Cons
The spring is too strong for the plastic traps, and they just aren't big enough to hold a rat. We quit using the trap out of doors because birds, attracted to the bait, were trapped by mistake.

Only caveat check them regularly as other animals will take off with the captured animal and trap
With these new ones i got 1 rat per day for the first 2 days outside along a fence with the traps in bait boxes
Packaging/appearance
We have had two live captures out of total of eight but still caught in the trap so could dispose of the kritterrat fairly easily
Got the trex trap and literally the very next day had trapped the rat
