Heats up quickly in the microwave and stays hot quite a while. One stays in a drawer to be warmed up while another is in the freezer at all times. Great to have 3 of them for a cycle of 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off.

One situation to avoid is overheating the pack to the point that it inflates and the plastic stretches

I like the size and that i can hide it in back of waist band and walk around getting pain relief to lower back then throw back in freezer
