Great warrior indeed. Also sobering to the horrors of ww1. Direct, gritty, gripping and fascinating, this is an excellent account of a horrendous style of warfare.

Gruesome in it's details, this autobiography is one to remember. The only negative thing i have to say about the book is that it is pretty repetitive after awhile.

Cons

The story is fantastic, but the translation is very clunky. It presents numerous mistakes such as sentence fragments, simple wrong word translations and choppy, unbalanced prose. This american-english translation is downright shameful.
