    The fact that the allies signed an armistice gave the german army the chance to say they were stabbed in the back when they were in fact thoroughly beaten

    While the rest of the world saw the germans as the bad guys it is awful to read that so many young allied lives were lost even in the last 24 hours of battle because many officers wanted to be seen to have a good war
