I did use it while it was raining but did not observe any water seeping inside i had the protection of an umbrella

I was able to carry my gorilla pod inside the bag on top of the camera but then its cumbersome to remove the camera when i wanted it or get to anything else inside

The bag is soft sided so you can force it in but the sides are clearly bulging to contain it
