When i got the new os in the fall my macbook would freeze all the time even just typing in the password

Then one of the senior applecare people mentioned something to the effect that my model macbook pro retina 2014s sd card slot was using a usb bus which i suppose is slower than the later models and that the normal use of this slot for photos and random data storage was not usually an issue but in this case with the majority of my data residing on the tardisk my original ssd bring 128 the tardisk being 256 and after reinstalling the os most the data was now on the tardisk that there was a bottle neck due to the inability of this much data to move over this usb bus inside the macbook

Now i am saying everything i understand about this and i may have missed something but this is what i came away with having worked with about 6 different applecare people including 3 senior applecare people

Tardisk upon hearing this diagnosis from apple gave me a full refund
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Because tardisk directly stood behind their product when in my case it did not perform to the spec they gave a full refund even months later

The applecare people were all interested when i described what the tardisk did after it was peared and were quite amazed and confirmed that indeed the data was being read across both the ssd and the tardisk

Also worth noting applecare agreed tardisk would not void any applecare warranty so applecare absolutely helped even though this was handling the data

So i suppose my scenario is the worstcase scenario
