Well thought out design and nicely engineered. Very durable. A little pricey but the experience really makes it worthwhile.
Cast iron grill cooks and cleans beautifully. Great grill and oven combo. The granite top is more of a warmer than a warmer.

Cleaning isn't too bad, either - it's definitely easier when we use the non-ridged side, but doable either way. Skillets are easy as well to clean, those i simply soaked for a few minutes and soap & sponged them clean.
The set includes the recommended 1/2 cheese wheel, the extra recommended spatulas (never opened, not needed), and the crepe mix. Heats up quickly and melts cheese quickly. Strong tasting for delicate palates.
Cons
The handle melted within five minutes from turning on the raclette. The handles on all of our trays bend with the pressing of one finger. Ours are faulty and we kindly wish to know what our options are to obtain the non-defective trays.

The negativeit arrived with the heating element dislodged which was an easy fix

We have owned 2 raclette grills and swissmar is our favorite
You can use any cheese to melt but we can actually find raclette cheese in one of our grocery stores
We used this model as well as a friends who had the other brand i was considering
However the pans are somewhat flimsy and i expected better from the brand

Everything heated up quickly the raclette cheese melted perfectly and nothing sticked to the surfaces
