Pros
It seems pretty accurate. Much more handy than a clip on thermometer while backpacking. The sleeve to put the thermometer in is nice protection.
This works great to check the temperature of the air coming out of my furnace. This helps me know when my freon is running a little low. They work very well for giving me vent temps and coolant temps.
Product seems to work well. Works as advertised. Works well but the display is small.
Cons
Buyer beware that most meats and poultry need to register between 150- 175. It's basically useless.

The reprodubility of temps and calibration appear to be similar also but at about 13 the price
