Pros & Cons
Pros
Ez8 hvac system is a two-step, where the blower comes on gently until the air is either cooled or heated. It helps the kitchen stay about 2 degrees cooler. The room is much cooler what a big difference the equalizer makes.
I rarely review anything but this fan has been a lifesaver. I hate the sound and feel of air conditioners, so this is the next best thing. This seeming gimmicky product works surprisingly well.
This fan puts out additional airflow from the floor registers, and easily be moved to a window during the seasons when the nights are cooler. Mounting kit comes in a small plastic bag. The product contains a fan, a vented cover immediately in front of... Read More
Cons
The mounting kits have to be ordered by phone from suncourt for $11 each. Stuck manually starting it. A total disappointment and not worth the money.

The booster really has helped with the register it was placed on
Also, the attic was insufficiently insulated along with the second floor not being insulated at all even though it was complete... Read More
This seeming gimmicky product works surprisingly well as a band-aid solution for this larger problem.
Price
For the price, you can’t beat it.
Competitiveness
It's easy to mount or simply set over an in-floor register.
My vents are the idiotically small 2x10 size, so i am limited in my choices.

Fortunately its not in a bedroom

What he didnt do was upgrade the central air to a unit that could handle extra square footage or the extra 30odd feet of ductwork adequately

We have had a longstanding problem where one of the floor registers in the master bedroom emitted a paltry amount of air it is the register at the end of the longest run of the system

After a few days of trial i can say this about this model of suncourt register booster 1 it works well the temperature difference was noticeable 2 there is a range of fan speeds so one could probably find a speed that did not disturb sleep but rather acted as white noise 3 the normal air flow from this register is so bad that the sensor on auto never registered it so i set it to cold and it comes on and goes off with the hvac higher fan speed

I then saw that suncourt made a flush fit smart register booster fan and ordered it

It would be perfect if the flush has fans made of more robust material and it possibly could then manage with just one fan

If they fail we will probably consider investing in inline duct fans that can be tied directly to our twostep hvac system we’re lucky that the hvac and duct work are in the storage unfinished portion of the basement
