Pros & Cons
Pros
Used for drilling 6 holes into pine. This bit lasts. Cuts nice, came to us very sharp. It drills through fine, but you have to drill slow.
Out of all the forstner bits i have been through (and that is a lot) this particular make and model is far superior. Center point is spot on and the core is easy to extract when done.
Cons
The package says "precision ground shank" the center spur is so big it creates a 1/4” wide and 3/16” divot or cavity at the bottom of the hole. The shaft on the bit is round and the chuck on my drill would not get a bite even using the chuck key. This... Read More
Design is standard but the grinding is poor. Wooden box is very sloppily made and arrived broken. Factory never had the slightest quality control whatsoever.
Highlights
Quality
The quality seems good and theyre both sharp
Cuts very well holding up well and appears to be good quality
If thats the case go spend 30 40 on a quality fisch forstner bit
People that are bashing this obviously needed it for a larger project and needed something with a better quality
