You have the option of stopping the vacuuming at any time and go directly to seal mode by pressing the seal only button

When you see that liquids are being sucked up simply press seal only and the vacuum will immediately stop and the sealing begins

Edit well the sealer is not standing up all that well

I can still manually press the seal button and it works so im not too upset but the quality isnt as high as i initially thought

Its about the same price as some of the more basic foodsaver vacuum sealers and does almost exactly the same job you place a bag in the jaws press both sides to look the lid in place press one button and it sucks all the air out and then seals the bag

Second there is a seal only button that will let you make a seal without generating a vacuum first

Theres room for a few ml of liquid to be sucked out of the bag before youre in danger of sucking liquid into the vacuum pump mechanism which would be bad because of the clever design of the nozzle
