The bulb portion has some obvious areas at the opening where they could have smoothed some spots

Cleaningi just put some hand soap in the bulb add some water shake it a little then squeeze it out the adapter

The white plastic is indeed very rough but all you need is just a small amount of lubricant around your rectum or the insertion tip
