Note you don’t just swap in the new drive — you have to switch a processor board from old drive into the new one first

When the bluray drive in my ps3 slim cech2001a apparently crapped out after at least three instances of sending two different inwarranty and outofwarranty broken ps3s to be serviced by sony for ridiculous charges i was on the hunt for a solution to fix this one myself

Everything on the ps3 was working fine video netflix ps store etc but the drive would not pull a disc into the drive at all suggesting that the motor had burned out
