Just part of my home storage for times i hope we never see in the usa
I tested the 10g uline packet in a ziplock bag with a bit of water
I also bought 10g packets of uline desiccants which have more absorbtion ability due to the bigger size

I have yet to test these silica packets in the water proof video camera housing to see how effect they are in preventing fogging

If there are any of these uline silica gel dessicants being used in japan in the floating safes that are being found washing in from the ocean then one will be able to tell if they worked otherwise it is only if they fail in a normal situation will one know
