Bought them used had no problems with the headset or the packaging
Having got a great price on the hd700s i decided to take the step up from the hd600s
I have these paired to the e10k dacheadphone amp they make a nice pair
Again switching back and forth between these and the hd 598s left the 598s sounding flat and lifeless in comparison
Competitiveness
I am currently running these off my desktop with a schiit audio magni 2 uber amp and a modi 2 uber dac
I power these with a smsl dac which is more than enough to power these and for 400 these seem like a great bargain
Ive not heard more expensive sennheisers of the hd800 line but those start at about triple the current hd700 price
I bought the sennheiser hd 700 headphones to replace my beyerdynamic t90 headphones

Likely the most comfortable headphone ive worn outside of akg xl pads more so than sennheiser 800 because of the absurd size of 800

I listened to many of my favorite songs with the hd 700s plugged into schiit modi 3 multibit stacked with the schiit magni 3 and i can say the follow statement i have never enjoyed music more than i have now i have heard many of my favorite songs live at concerts but i could not hear the detail that was embedded into the songs as clearly as i have with these hd 700s

There open so not meant for travel unless you dont care about people hearing what your listening to because you have to turn up the volume to drown them out
