I bought this because it would be rugged enough to take hiking i did experience a slight issue with the product but the manufacturer corrected the issue right away

Rain hail ice and snow storms and tempatures from 112 to 20 and right now it has out lasted 4 phones and two camers and if it keeps holding up it will out last me

I braced it in some rocks and got it adjusted to capture a picture precisely the way i wanted it

It really extends to get way out there so you can actually get the background in the picture

Unfortunately i did not try it out before i left and found upon getting to hawaii that the threads on the standard camera mount were screwed up
